Changes to RIDDOR Reporting
6th April 2012
What are the changes?
From the 6th April 2012 RIDDOR'S current over three day injury reporting requirement has changed to over seven day incidents.
- This means any person absent or unable to carry out their normal working duties for over seven days (not including the day on which the accident/incident happened) must be reported
- However please remember you must still keep a record of all over three day injuries
- The deadline date for reporting over seven day injuries has been increased to fifteen days from the day of the accident/incident
- You must notify the HSE via their website of any incidents which fall within the scope of RIDDOR www.hse.gov
- In the event of fatal or major injuries you should contact the HSE immediately on 0845 3009923 Monday - Friday 08:30am - 17:00pm
